The Italian brand Ascot came up at Cersaie 2015 with the second collection in the Game of Fifteen range, a tribute to the artworks of fifteen modern artists. The crucial idea of the entire Game of Fifteen portfolio is tile as an objet d'art. Every collection is a genuine immersion into the aesthetic philosophy of an artist. The first collection was dedicated to Keith Haring, an iconic American artist and pioneer of the pop-art style. The second one was conceived and developed in collaboration with the Dutch artist Boris Tellegen.
Game of Fifteen: Boris Tellegen is totally inspired by the creative genius of the artist, by his signature style, characterized as "isometric architectural landscapes". While the student of the Department of Industrial Design at the Delft University of Technology, Boris Tellegen studied the architectural plans and city models. According to the artist, his works reflect a delicate balance between order and eventuality. Nowadays, the installations by Boris Tellegen made of construction materials, which evoke the eternal unity and struggle of the opposites (order and chaos), are exhibited at the most prestigious art events and show-rooms all over the world.
Game of Fifteen: Boris Tellegen embraces both relief items, which render the effect of intricate three-dimensional sculptures of the artist, and the smooth tiles, featuring the complex interweaving of geometrical figures. The entire collection is conceived in the sober black-and-white gamut, exclusive of one decorative panel. This is another distinctive feature of the Game of Fifteen range. The designers of Ascot add a multicolor panel featuring an ornament typical of a particular artist, which becomes the quintessence of his creative style.
Since the beginning of 2016, Game of Fifteen: Boris Tellegen is available for ordering on our website.
