Rectified porcelain tiles (also referred to as monocaliber tiles) are obtained by cutting the edges of the "baked" products to the unique size. The pocess of tile firing does not provide for accurate correspondence to nominal sizes. The tiles the size of which differ from the nominal size by several millimeters are classified into "calibers" or are squared to the unique actual size. The process of edge rectification allows for minimum joints between the adjacent tiles and prevents uneven joints.
