The Italian ceramic tile brand Mutina passes by Cersaie. During the recent years, in order to demonstrate the brand-new tile projects, Mutina has been organizing the invitation-only events. The last event dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Mutina unveiled two concept tile series. These collections are still under development and will be launched into production in the end of January.

      Rombini

The series is ideated by the creative tandem of the French designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. Rombini embraces three models named after geometric figures. All elements are complementary. The fusion of various shapes and colors yields dramatic interior projects of perceivable rhythm and vibrant palette. A mesmerizing mix of mosaic, backgrounds and relief pieces. There should be nothing in excess. This is the contemporary design philosophy and the signature style by Mutina.

      The Rombini Items:

1 CARRÉ (the French for "square") is an item of 40×40 cm fabricated of glazed porcelain stoneware. The surface of the square slabs is covered by the tiny embossed diamonds.

      Numi

Numi is the first project ideated for Mutina by the German designer Konstantin Grcic.
The series consists of the 60×60 and 30×30 cm partially glazed backgrounds. The basic squares are covered by versatile onlays, different in shape and finish. According to Konstantin Grcic, ceramic tile is an object, an artwork, capable of infinite multiplication owing to modularity. In other words, Numi is a sample of complex matter, which consists of elemental units, and therefore can be easily reshaped to transform the interiors.

What is more, the series includes Numini, a reduction of the large items, which is just 5×5 cm in size. The miniature embossed tesserae are set on 30×30 cm meshes to provide hassle-free installation.

The color gamut of Numini is made up of six dusty shadings.
