This year, Caesar amazes the audience by the ingenious porcelain stoneware collections that feature corroded metal surfaces. Trace is totally inspired by the majestic buildings and architectural monuments erected using such durable materials as metal and cement. The decorative pieces with barely traceable patterns and slightly rubbed look confer the mysterious air to the collection, while the abundance of color shadings make every interior embellished with Trace utterly different. Interestingly, the series also imitates cement. The luster of polished metal highlights the matt appearance of cement creating the effect of continuous motion.
It was last year that the Italian brand Manifattura Emiliana presented its Metal Style collection. This porcelain stoneware renders the luster of four noble metals: Copper, Gold, Platinum and Silver. The surfaces of Metal Style ideally suit the grunge, retro and vintage interiors.
There is one more tile manufacturer that reproduces the effect of rusty metal in wall and floor coverings. This is the Spanish brand Tau. Energy artfully shows the flow of time, the enigmatic symbiosis of metal and corrosion, the gradual color transitions induced by chemical reactions. The collection embraces two surface finishes: natural and lapping. According to the designer idea, this porcelain stoneware is, first of all, intended for the urban-style environments.
The Portuguese brand Revigres has launched Copper, the finishing material with effect of copper patina. The pronounced corrosion marks virtually transform any surfaces making them look charismatic and stylish.
