Traditionally, August is the time when major Italian and Spanish tile manufacturers enjoy vacations. However there is an interesting dependence to mention. The more artistically accomplished the tiles are, and the more handmade tiles there are in the brand portfolio, the higher is the probability that not a single tile is shipped in August. Fortunately, the large-scale tile manufacturers cannot suspend production. The period when they do not take orders and do not make shipments is reduced to one or two weeks.
While planning a tile purchase, please consider August a period when it will be rather complicated, if not impossible. The similar "dead season" (though to a lesser extent) is observed during Christmas Holidays.
